Quick acting acne home remedies

There are many acne home remedies that work to clear up your skin and acne but most people do not know about them because they are washed out by skin care companies tv commercials. In this article today I am going to share with you some home remedies for acne that will benefit you greatly and really help you clear up your skin quicker from home.
The first thing that I recommend is to get a healthy diet, one that really supports your skin’s health. With this I recommend as many raw organic fruits and vegetables as you can on a daily basis. These contain vitamins, minerals and enzymes which keep your skin clear and healthy. Many of the foods that you currently eat probably don’t contain as much nutrition as you need. Processed and packaged foods are not very nutritious and often contain things which can cause acne breakouts.
The next acne home remedy recommendation that I would make would be to drink less soda’s, sports drinks and juices and more pure spring or purified water. These other drinks contain sugar, dye’s and preservatives which clog up and slow down your body. When you drink water you are hydrating your body, giving it what it needs and wants without causing problems. I recommend staying away from coffee, energy drinks, soda’s and fruit juices as these are very high in sugar and cause problems overall for your skin.
One of the liquids that I used to clear up my acne is apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is a liquid that really cleanses and tones your skin. This liquid works wonders and I have seen this alone help people really change the complexion and health of their skin. You can wash your face and then put this liquid on it and you can also drink it with water internally.

Unsafe Acne Treatments To Stay Away From
February 21, 2012 by David King

There are many acne treatments and acne products on the market, some that work well and are safe and effective and some that work not as well. There are even acne treatments that work well but they are not too safe and I would not recommend them simply because this can cause problems in your health years down the road. It is important to understand which acne treatments are both effective and safe.
One acne treatment, which I do not recommend at all and recommend that you stay away from at all costs is accutane. My mother actually took accutane when she was in high school and it cleared up her acne fairly quickly but she later on discovered when she gave birth to her first born (my older brother) that accutane wasn’t the best decision. My brother was born with a birth defect because of accutane. The intersting thing was that it was years later, years after it was “safe” from accutanes perspective to have a child. This was just not the case.
Another acne treatment which I recommend you avoid like the plague is benzoyl peroxide. I was doing research on this and found that benzoyl peroxide was actually linked to cancer in lab rats. I find it interesting that “skin care” companies put this ingredient in their acne treatment skin care products even after knowing that this is the case in animal testing. It doesn’t make sense that this ingredient is even used at all too because the majority of people that put this on their skin get red dry skin very quickly. It does nothing more than bombard your skin with toxicity.
There are many ingredients that I recommend you stay away from in acne skin care products and acne treatment medications. The problem is that many of them try to attack your acne and get rid of it in stead of cure it naturally by bringing balance into your skin and health. I recommend a natural approach, using a natural diet as well as natural skin care products. There are plenty of holistic and natural acne treatments that you can use that work better, quicker and are safer for you!

What Is Acne?

Acne is commonly known as pimples or zits. It is a skin condition that commonly afflicts people during their teenage years. Acne pre-dominantly affects the face. Yet it can also show up on the back, neck, shoulders and chest. While most common in teenagers it can appear on adults as well. Neither race or gender is an indicator of acne as it affects male and female and all races the same.
Acne Vulgaris, “acne”, can be diagnosed by the lesions that form on the skin. These lesions can take several different forms: blackheads, whiteheads and cysts. Cysts are formed when the pore becomes completely blocked. Acne is most common during puberty because at this time the body is creating an excess of sebum, an oily substance designed to keep the hair and skin soft and lubricated. During puberty the production of sebum is greatly increased which can cause the skin to feel oily and clog pores.
During puberty there is also an increase in the production of follicle cells. Dead follicle cells mixed with sebum can build up and cause white heads. This combination of oil and dead cells is a perfect breeding ground for bacteria which will cause the swelling and redness that is associated with pimples.
Acne affects about 85% of all people sometime from the age of 12-24. Around 25% of these people will have acne on their back and/or neck as well as the face. The acne will be bad enough to cause about 40% of these people to want to have medical treatment.
Acne is most common on the face, especially on the forehead, nose and chin. The back is the next most common area of affliction followed by the neck, chest and shoulders.
Most people will have outgrown their acne challenges by the time they reach their twenty’s, but some people will continue to suffer from acne even as adults. In some cases people will not have any acne issues until they are adults. This happens more frequently in men than women.
Acne can have severe emotional and psychological repercussions. Since it affects their appearance it also affects self image and self esteem. Teenagers are especially vulnerable to this attack on their self-confidence. It can even trigger withdrawal from social situations and depression, as well as feelings of anger and frustration.
Fortunately in this day and age there are many treatments that can help with acne. The most important thing that can be done to help alleviate acne is to keep the skin as clean and oil free as possible. Washing the problem areas several times a day with soap and water, especially after any activity that triggers perspiration, is usually adequate. There are also many medications available by prescription and over the counter to help with acne control.
If the acne is bad enough you can consult a dermatologist who can prescribe medications for the skin as well as antibiotics to help fight the bacteria. They can also offer advise on life style and diet changes that might help with the condition.
Before engaging in any treatment, it is advisable that you contact your doctor.

A skin tag, or skin polyp, is an abnormality that results in a small dangling piece of flesh. They are harmless most of the time. However, on rare occasion they are associated with diseases like poly cystic ovaries. Many people consider them to be very unattractive. This is the reason they will actively look for solutions or skin tag removal help.
Animals can also get polyps, but it is humans that get them more frequently. They are overweight or sometimes pregnant. Other cases are associated with disorders of the metabolism, like diabetes. Polyps are not like warts. They can be removed with concern of them returning. Whereas, warts will typically leave a seed behind that causes a re-growth. Furthermore, there is no evidence to suggest that they are contagious like warts. Warts are caused by a virus while polyps have an unknown cause. For the most part, they go unnoticed until they become irritated clothing rubbing against them.
There is variety of ways to remove them. One of oldest methods is to take a string or a piece of thread and tie them off the base. They will eventually fall off on their own because they have lost their blood supply. This method can even be used to remove them from animals and children. Some people have reported to use dental floss successfully. However, there are few more methods for those with a strong constitution.
A sharp pair of scissors can remove a tag. Using anesthetics depends on how large they are. Small ones do not usually have sensation. On the other hand, the larger ones can develop sensation. Therefore, it is best to let someone else do the cutting depending on the location.
Another great method is to chill them off using nitrogen. This way is similar for removing warts. The cold Nitrogen causes the polyp to naturally shrivel up and die. Just be sure to keep it way from the surrounding area Furthermore, this method will not be reliable in all cases. It has some drawbacks. For instance, on occasion there could be a temporary color change at the site. Alternatively, the polyp may even return.

Acne is Not the Same as Spots
February 6, 2012 by Owen Jones

There are quite a few different types of acne, depending on how or why the acne started. Some of the kinds of acne are: acne conglobata (chronic boils); acne fulminans (an extreme form of conglobata); acne cosmetica (caused by cosmetics); acne keloidalis nuchae (from shaving); acne medicamentosa (caused by starting or stopping a medication); acne rosacea (redness on the face); baby acne; hormonal acne; cloracne and the common variety, acne vulgaris (also known as ‘puberty spots’). In this article, we will take a closer look at acne vulgaris.
Acne vulgaris may be described as: ‘an inflammatory disease of the skin, caused by changes in the pilosebaceous units (skin structures consisting of a hair follicle and its associated sebaceous gland). Acne lesions are commonly referred to as pimples, spots or zits’ (according to Wikipedia).
Acne is most common in white Western teenagers, although it does occur in every country in the world, so there could be a genetic predisposition to it. It is possible that it may be an abnormal reaction to quite normal levels of testosterone. For most afflicted, outbreaks of acne last only until adulthood, probably only a few years or at the most ten. For other people, however, it can be a life-long affliction. It most often affects the face, upper-chest, upper-arms and back. However, an occasional spot is not the same as acne.
Acne vulgaris appears in various forms, which include: whiteheads, caused by pores which are totally blocked, trapping sebum (oil), bacteria, and dead skin cells, causing a white spot on the surface; blackheads, caused by pores which are only partially blocked, allowing some of the trapped sebum, bacteria, and dead skin cells to slowly drain to the surface (the black colour is not caused by dirt, but is a reaction of the skin’s own pigment, called melanin, with the oxygen in the air); papules, which are inflamed, red, tender bumps with no head and pustules, which are like whiteheads, but are inflamed, and appear as red circles with a white or yellow centre.
Whiteheads do not usually last long; blackheads can last a long time and pustules are what people call spots. Severe acne vulgaris is distinguished by nodules and cysts. A ‘nodule’ is a much larger and more painful kind of pustule and can sometimes last for months. Nodules are large, hard bumps under the skin’s surface. They often cause scarring and should never be squeezed, which could cause them to last for months longer still.
A ‘cyst’ may appear similar to a nodule, but it is full of pus and has been defined as having a diameter of at least 5mm and, again, can leave scars and cause pain. Squeezing an acne cyst may cause a more severe infection and more acute inflammation which will last quite a lot longer than if it had not been squeezed. Skin experts have ways of lessening the swelling and preventing scarring with both nodules and cysts. It is just not true that acne sufferers are not meticulous about their hygiene.
Indeed, it is a little-known fact that, over washing can irritate acne. There are many, many fake ‘cures’ in the shops and many, many old wives’ remedies. However, any honest skin expert would advise you that there is no sure-fire cure for acne and that the sufferer should follow a strict regimen of cleansing until the acne just ‘disappears’ on its own.

Acne is a frustrating skin condition to deal with but it’s important to understand that your mental attitude is important to keep positive emotional state and belief system as well. When your mindset and belief system is positive and open-minded it allows you to be more effective in the acne treatments that you pursue. The skin care products and treatments that you use are important but if you don’t have the effective belief system than nothing else matters.
The first thing I recommend anyone do that has acne is to drink more water. Most people that have acne are dehydrated and need to drink more water. I recommend drinking purified or spring water instead of tap water because these sources of water are purer and are free of fluoride, chlorine and other toxic chemicals that can easliy cause more problems in the body. Water hydrates the body and the internal organs as well as the skin organ as well which moisturizes it and gives it the nutrition it needs to be healthy and clear.
The next thing that I recommend you do is to address your diet. Your diet is extremely important and will cause your skin to break out in pimples if you don’t have enough nutrition in your diet. I recommend eating fruits and vegetables on a daily basis in order to get the nutrition that your body and skin need. Vegetables and fruits contain vitamins and minerals which heal and replenish the skin which your body needs to stay clear and get rid of acne.
The final thing that I recommend you do is to use all natural skin care and cosmetic products. I recommend using products that are paraben, sodium lauryl sulfate and propylene glycol free. When you put products on your skin that contain chemicals and toxins they cause problems with your skin and body overall.
